Trying To Catch A Buzz
A V-1 Buzz Bomb, that is.
In this photo from my old copy of Air War Against Hitler's Germany, we see a Hawker Tempest in in hot pursuit of the rocket-propelled terror weapon. The caption in the book does not reveal the outcome of the aerial chase.

How fast could a V1 go? Couldn't it outrun a plane like this?
V1 cruising speed: 350mph
Tempest top speed: 442mph
Huh. I am mildly surprised the V1 flew that slowly. Not so missile-like.
