Huh. I think I missed this one at the theaters its first time through. And also every late-night broadcast as well.

What, exactly, was this poster doing at the Camp Roberts Museum? It certainly isn't a good example (is it?) of a good-for-recruiting propaganda flick, is it?

The Camp Roberts Museum is my favorite type of roadside attraction; a large collection of "old stuff" not overly curated...like a visit to a huge attic with (most of) the cobwebs removed.

There is a strong Hollywood connection at Camp Roberts--many actors had basic training there in the 40s or did National Guard duty there later on. There isn't any particular connection w/Aldo Ray or Robert Ryan though...the poster just happened to be displayed in the "Korean War" exhibit room.
