Well, maybe not, but I was struck by the rorschach-esquesness (if I may coin a term) of this thing. Taken from a vantage point mere feet from another photo in this blog, this unretouched image was made with a cheap* semi-disposable camera. Said camera was purchased more than twenty-eight months ago during a brief a stop in Coral Bay, Australia.
The camera has languished in various drawers ever since. So, this week, I decided to finish off the roll of film; resulting in this...this...I don't know what to call it.
A work of art? You decide.
A work of art? You decide.
*quality-wise, that is...the bloody thing cost me $50AUD!

What the hell is it?
It's a long story...I just finished explaining it to Parmelee. Reader's Digest version: shot from bottom of pool looking up towards large tree.
And how is it that SGP has never heard Joe's Garage? It's a classic, I tells ya! I only have it on tape, otherwise I'd burn him a copy and express mail it tomorrow....
I, after repeated viewings, find this photo, more and more, to look exactly like something out of Myst, Riven, or one of those earlier strategy fantasy PC games that involved weird, otherworldly venues and scenes that were still strangely rooted in the familiar.
As for Joe's Garage, I find that I can get the song "Joe's Garage" by Zappa at our library, but it is that song alone on a compilation album with other less worthy company. Will that, alone, be worth my hunting down?
Back to this photo . . . it is probably more than suitable for an album cover, only what the heck would you call it??? Or, even weirder, use it as the label for a CD . . . .
