A Little Late With The Wardrobe Change

Willow Glen's big bony guy/gal was a bit tardy slipping into his/her 4th of July finery last week. The new outfit didn't make its appearance until the 6th. Better late than never, we suppose. (Although if you think about it, when it comes to skeletons, being "late" sorta goes with the territory.)

Disneyland Time Capsule

In the summer of 1969, a "Big 10 Ticket Book" that included admission was $4.75. The FastPass hadn't been invented and you didn't need a phone app to plan your day. Pirates of the Caribbean was relatively new and The Haunted Mansion was still a coming attraction (It opened on August 9th, the beginning of the "Fall Season"). Oddly enough, one of our most vivid memories is of getting a bag of chips at the Casa De Fritos. They were dispensed via a chute coming out of a fake mountain with a vaguely Bob's Big Boy-looking "Frito Kid" presiding over the vending experience.
