Dear reader(s)(?): please keep an eye on Slate's "Bad Poetry Contest", where the previous post's prose has been submitted in a second (the first having failed miserably) bid for immortality. The competition over in Slateville is extremely tough, though; not unlike a carapace. Or a piece of slate, when you think about it. The winners will be announced on the 18th, when I hope to be incommunicado, somewhere in the Range of Light.

    Oops! Just before I pop off to dreamland for the evening, I must now surrender my hopes for OTATSJB--posterity is just an ass sometimes. Suffice it to say that those who read it on this blog were witnesses to history.
