Neighbor Honors Local* World Record Holder

Seen recently on one of our regular Willow Glen rambles:

 

Although the dates on the sign say 1986-2016, we discovered that Rosie The Ribiter's Jumping Frog Jubilee record (21 feet 5 3/4 inches) still stands today. She probably croaked long ago, but her legend lives on thanks to a children's book by Darcy Pattinson.

 

 

* "Local" in the sense that her "coach" was from Santa Clara.

According to the book, she actually hailed from somewhere

 along the San Joaquin River in the central valley
