There are many things that I want to know about this subject, but first and foremost, why the heck would someone combine Vaseline with uranium in the first place? Was it simply a practical joke, like the old Vaseline-on-the-toilet-seat gag? The target of the joke is supposed to grab some uranium and then drop it as it slips out of their hands?

ReplyDeleteI think the vaseline moniker has to do with the glass looking as if it has been smeared with a layer of petroleum jelly.
