PLACEHOLDER?

Please enjoy this historic decal from
the golden days of Jay Ward and Co.
whilst we think of something more interesting
to post.

And "enjoy" it I will. Hard to get enough Bullwinkle!

Is this a classic, vintage thing, or some recent cool offering in the new DVD sets of the Rocky shows? I'm guessing the former, but it seems to be in such excellent shape. As though it's been in the hands of, say, an archiving fanatic . . . .

Y'know, for my money, something "interesting" to post would be a collage or something showing your various pennied offerings at campsites you have departed!

Unless, of course, you are squirreling away such captured moments for a coffee table book you have in the works . . . .

In answer to your first question, the decal is the last of a bunch that Ed gave me 15 years or so ago. He acquired them at "The Dudley Do-Right Emporium", which was located on Sunset in Hollywood. It closed it's doors for good in 2004.

As to the notion of a collection of picnic table penny art...good idea, but it would require some heavy duty digging through a whole lot of boxes. A project for future consideration, but don't hold your breath.

Someday . . . you're gonna have to wade through those boxes regardless. Don't be so "negative" about it.

Ha!
